After more than two decades of public disagreements, music legends Elton John and Madonna have reconciled, marking the end of their longstanding feud. The rift, which began in 2004 when Elton criticized Madonna’s live performances, has now been mended. Their reconciliation occurred backstage at a recent “Saturday Night Live” performance, where Elton approached Madonna with an apology.
“I was ashamed of myself,” Elton admitted. “I should have never said those things in public.” Madonna responded graciously, saying, “Your apology broke down the wall between us.” The two embraced, symbolizing the end of their feud.
Reflecting on their past, Madonna acknowledged Elton’s influence on her career: “His music inspired me during my formative years.” Elton reciprocated, calling Madonna “groundbreaking and influential.” The artists hinted at a future collaboration, with Madonna revealing, “Elton has written a song for me.”
This reconciliation not only ends a notable chapter in music history but also opens the door for potential joint creative endeavors between the two icons
